Mission Statement
CastYourArt produces and presents podcasts about art and art-related themes. In our podcasts, we would like to create access to museums, galleries, and festivals; to artists and players in the art world, for people who are inspired by and interested in art. CastYourArt’s podcasts are independently developed and produced. This creates the opportunity for us to share our know-how with our clients, who can thereby realize the potential created through podcasting. To read more about our services, please click here.
In the future, CastYourArt plans to develop an online network and an online system for selling artworks and providing support within the art world.
Content
CastYourArt opens up windows into various aspects of the art world—ideas and concepts; participants, networks, and mechanisms; experimentation, theories, and reflections; inspiration and emotions; variety and contradiction. Who are the minds behind an apparently anonymous enterprise? How do works of art come into being and what are the ideas that inspire artists? What does it take to get a foot in the door of the art world and what does one learn from such efforts? What motivates collectors: love, passion, manipulation? Which aspects of the art industry are individual and which are strictly business-oriented? How does a curator view an exhibition, as opposed to the general public? It is these and other questions which interest us. To listen openly, to see things differently, to be present, to approach things knowingly and readily, to become inspired, these are the tenets by which CastYourArt stands. The CastYourArt podcast productions vary in order to showcase the individuality of its participants, to not exclude those operating on a smaller budget, and to leave room for creative potential.
Identity
CastYourArt is a product of the Web 2.0 generation. The technical side of podcasting creates the opportunity to seek individual methods of media communication and mediation. This aspect also applies to the basic set of values that is supported within the Web 2.0 generation, with which CastYourArt identifies itself: we emphasize substance over style, authenticity over slick professionalism, differentiation over simplification, opening up rather than setting boundaries, and, naturally, taking pleasure in what we do.
